RELATIONS: Diaspora and Painting, addresses the question of the diaspora from various points of view and approaches. With a rich and complex history, painting is a stimulating mode of expression for exploring the multiplicity of the diasporic experience. Yinka Shonibare CBE’s painting Orange Blob, 1996, is featured alongside works by over 25 artists in the exhibition. The show is curated by Cheryl Sim and organised by the PHI Foundation for Contemporary Art, Montréal and presented in collaboration with the Esker Foundation.
