Wilderness in the Garden

Wilderness in the Garden is British-Nigerian artist Yinka Shonibare MBE's largest museum solo show in Asia to date. The exhibition showcases the artist’s multidisciplinary practice and features over 80 artworks, including sculpture, painting, photography, installation and film, which focus on themes such as money, play, empire, conflict, environment, and love. Daegu Art Museum has paid special attention to Shonibare’s works which reflect colonialism, post-colonialism, globalisation and cultural identity which are universal and inextricably bound with Korea’s historical and cultural contexts.
