The Great Migration: Poets, Philosophers, Historians, part of The American Library Collection, by Yinka Shonibare CBE will be unveiled at Rollins Museum of Art. This new acquisition to the Museum's permanent collection was created in collaboration with Rollins students, staff and faculty and will be permanently on display in this common area.

The Installation Will Be Unveiled at Rollins Museum of Art, Winter Park, Florida, USA

The work is comprised of hardcover books, bound in Dutch wax fabric, with embossed spines of poets, philosophers, or historians with ancestral connections to the Great Migration, the movement of six million Black Americans from the rural Southern US that occurred between the 1910s and 1970s.
